I know I have a lot of catching up to do but if I don't go with the current I will never get on track. So...I will write about the present and then backtrack as time permits. As a side note I have to explain that I do not have a router right now. I have a very short ethernet cable that I have plugged into the modem in the corner or my bedroom. This makes being on the computer difficult so until my furniture arrives mid September the joy of journal keeping (this is what I tell myself- joy) is slightly, actually drastically, less joyful. Sawyer thinks this is his time to climb all over me, the computer, the modem, cables, cords, etc... He just has to give me one of his ginormous grins though and he is totally off the hook.
So here are the girls on their first day of school- after school, like I could even think through getting a picture yesterday morning.

Ellyn's shirt says "I am who I am" and I can't think of anything more appropriate.
So we found out a few days ago that Jane's bus to the middle school does not come up onto the hill where we live in the mornings. We have to take her to Sadie's elementary school at 6:55. Boy was I thrilled to hear that. So I get up at 5:30 to shower and wake Jane up at 5:45, we get ready, and then at 6:40 we load the kids in the car and drive to the elementary school. Next week Ellyn will start taking the bus to her school so we will have to have her dressed and fed as well because her bus will come at 7:15. The good news is, the middle school bus stops by the elementary school in the afternoon and so Jane and Sadie get to ride and walk home together. They were so cute getting off the bus yesterday I could have just eaten them with a spoon.
So Sadie loved school. Of course. She was actually a little nervous yesterday morning. But she was very happy about her black sparkly shoes. We had to plan her whole outfit around them.
