ALMS Laguna Seca

-- Post From My iPhone

Carmel Middle School

Yesterday was Music in the Parks, a competition amongst middle schools from all over the state of California, other states have them as well. CMS won first place with a superior rating across the board- concert band, jazz band, orchestra, choir, and chamber choir. They did the same thing last year, we have an amazing program and the kids were so excited. It did feel a bit awkward as parents to watch our school sweep every category (this included best soloist vocal and instrumental and best all around something or other) but I will take a little mild discomfort for an amazing music program ANY day. Jane had a great group for the day and my friend Kristine Ellison and I were chaperones together, which was really fun. We even managed a picture of a Robert Pattinson look alike. We thought we were so funny. Brooke via iPhone

This is JANE...not BROOKE...I'm just too lazy too log out and log back in...

LIFE has been VERY busy lately. I have several projects due, make-up work that I am working on from being sick, and it is almost the end of the school year AND THE GREAT AMERICA BAND CONCERT!!!!!! Great America is tomorrow and I am happy and excited this year because I have friends to go with and my amazing mother is chaperoning!!! Thank you mom for doing that:) So its early down and early up for us!!! My band(and other music groups from my school) are competing and the rest of the day we get to go to Great America!!! YAY!!! I know it will be fun!!! hehe

I AM Honored....

to be the mother to the most amazing kids a woman could ever be given. I love each of you as I never imagined possible. I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I'm with you. -Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Gross!!!!

This week I decided you could not pay me enough to do the job that I happily (mostly) do for free. I have scrubbed vomit out of car seats, clothing, my front porch, and off of bathroom floors. I have cleaned up little puddles of tinkle in my dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and playroom. I have scrubbed out a cooler that somehow still held contents from cross country snacks back in October. I've defrosted a freezer, cleaned out a fridge, done hours of dishes, millions of loads of laundry, scrubbed bathrooms, cleaned out my van... And this is what I have decided, there is a very good reason the leaders of our church encourage women to get an education (besides the obvious), it is because, as a mother, you do MANY menial tasks and your brain has to have SOMETHING to think about. Good news- Sawyer is completely potty trained. Jane is no longer ill. P.S. this is not a complaint, as I said, I am happy doing these things- merely an observation!

Puking Again???

Jane is violently ill- again. I am so hoping that we don't all go through this again and I really hope Janie feels better soon. She is miserable. Wicked was awesome and amazing and I had an absolutely wonderful day. My good, sweet husband spoiled the kids rotten. They went to the pool, to the movies, to pizza. They all had a great day too. Lights out, could be a very long night. Brooke via iPhone
