Sawyer visits with Santa

Christmas Eve isn't too late! Soy Bean climbed right up onto Santa's lap and gave him a huge hug. It was the cutest thing ever! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Seventeen years ago this morning we were arriving at the Portland temple to be married for time and all eternity. I was so nervous and so excited. You were so handsome and I couldn't believe you were going to be MINE. Michael, I love you more than I ever thought possible all those years ago, back when I couldn't imagine a stronger feeling (definitely involved hormones;-). We have been through so many good times- and bad. We have weathered both, I have the wrinkles to prove it. I think that if someone had sat down my 19 year old self and had given me a list of what we would face and do during these seventeen years I might have run away shrieking, possibly to a nunnery. Yet, our life has been one of joy, of learning, of growing. Life has been filled with the unexpected, it has never been boring! Thank you for sharing your love and your life with me. Thanks for growing up with me, for supporting me in becoming the woman I was meant to be. I am forever grateful for your tru...

We haven't dropped off the face of the earth

We've been busy- and sick. Sadie's class Christmas party. Her favorite teacher ever, Mr. Taylor. Jane examining the results of her science project. Very gross- bacteria from swabs around the house. My laptop keys were surprisingly bacteria free. Ellie warming up after swim therapy. Sawyer modeling Fangs from my Eclipse party. Still need to write about Thanksgiving. The flu has been a frequent, unwelcome visitor at our house for weeks now. That has not been cool. Poor Soy has taken the brunt of it. He's such a good kid, it breaks your heart to see him sick. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Could I Get More Behind?

Weeks and days have passed without a post. I have been overwhelmed with the "catch up" process. I will have to catch up in spurts. Sawyer loves watching the traffic lights and the cars ahead of us. When we were stopped at lights he kept asking "what we waitin' for mom?" so I have been teaching him the rules of the road. Sadie has been teaching him his left and right, so now he watches the GPS and tells me which direction I should go, when I should stop, when I should go. It is too much fun. Ellie is still into Dora in a big way. You can hear her happily repeating "come on, let's go" as she wanders through the house. She has also started saying "Happy" but mostly when she is furious. I know she is recognizing an emotion. It's awesome. Ellie is also sporting the "Dora Do." Aunty Ellynn gave our girl a bob and it is so cute and sassy. Ellie hates to have her hair brushed and now she hates it for a little less time each morning...
