Sibling Visits- Part One, Ellynn and Jason Thanksgiving 2010

I know, I am sooo bad. Yes, it is April 29th. Here are the pics from Thanksgiving with Ellynn and Jason. Sawyer keeps himself busy while Ellynn and I shop at Plato's closet. Finn is the cutest and most destructive kid ever! Mike celebrates the big 4-0. Always one for a great deal of fan fare! Ellynn and Sadie attempt to convince us that they slaved away on the Thanksgiving Dinner! So much fun. I MISS THEM! Really wish I had a picture of Ellynn doing Dance Central in her Santa pajama pants. It was sweet!

Sadie and Mike and Papa trip

Sadie took a little daddy daughter grandpa trip this weekend to Long Beach for the races. She was so excited. She told me it meant she would be eating Cheetos and drinking pop all weekend. Her dad did not disappoint. Sadie came back suntanned and sporting some excellent car racing imitations for playing Batman with Sawyer. Oh, they also play Psych. It's my girls' new favorite show. Clean mystery cop show with a guy that pretends to be psychic to solve crimes but he's just very observant and funny to boot. While Sadie and Mike were living the good life in warmth and sunshine we had a pretty decent weekend here as well. Friday Jane went straight home from school with friends, did a little slumber party, then woke up and went to a morning play practice for Aladdin. She is one of five singing narrators in her school musical. Ellyn, Sawyer, and I went to our neighborhood Easter party which was so fun. The first time both of them have hunted for eggs. Sawyer thought it was so co...

Wicked!

This past weekend we took a little trip to Fresno to see Wicked. It wasn't really official Young Women's. The girls had to earn 1/2 their money and the Bishop treated for the rest. We had a catered lunch at the Bishop's office, a matinee of Wicked with amazing seats, a quick stop to see the Fresno temple, and In-n-Out on the way home. We had sooo much fun. The only bummer part was that it was the same day as the Half Marathon that Mike and I ran last year and that he has run for the past two. But... still, a perfect day! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Sawyerisms and Sadie drama

A few Sundays ago Sawyer was being way too loud with his action figures during sacrament meeting. I looked down and told him he needed to be quiet. He looked at me with a very serious and earnest face and exclaimed in a very loud whisper "it's not me, Buzz Lightyear did it, mom!" Yesterday Sawyer came running in to the kitchen and told me he waited too long and had wet his underwear (this almost never happens). I asked him how wet they were and he held up five fingers and said "they're 8 wet mom, 8 wet." Today Sadie got in the van and said "Mom, I am not making this up and there is something I really need to talk to you about." "Okay," I said. "What is it?" I was a teensy bit worried. "A boy in my class asked me out on a date." "He did? What did you say?" "I said I can't. Try back in 8 years and when you've joined my religion." We had a little talk about thanking the boy, giving him a little...

Hair cuts

Sawyer's first time in the barber's chair. He was trying so hard to hold still. He was way better for them than he is for me! Look how handsome! He wants you to see the top and the back as well. Mike was not as thrilled to have his picture taken. Whatever! Ellyn thinks she is hilarious. She was not cooperating. I know the bangs look a bit short from this angle. They don't look as short in real life. They are short though. If you had to try to cut Ellyn's hair you might be tempted to use buzzers. For this cut she would hold still for one cut at a time and then run away and then come back to me when I called for her, rinse repeat... The back, it's soo cute! ...and the side. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

It's a Record!

Not one that I am proud of in any way, but I do believe this is the longest I have ever gone without updating Breezy. This has been quite a month though and when I have had down time I have been self indulgent. It's either that or lose my sanity. To start with, Mike called me a few weeks ago as Sawyer and I were gathering items off the shelves of Target (it doesn't matter what you go in for- Natural Peanut Butter in our case- the lure of Target is very strong). Without warning he explained to me that the Army was not letting us move Ellyn to Kansas. We had a very good possibility of getting Ft. Lewis in Washington but that I would probably be making that move alone while he stayed here for several months and finished his schooling here, and then, instead of school in Kansas for 10 mos. he would be going to a school in Georgia for four. This would mean 7 mos. apart, with a few breaks, since the house we are in now is being sold and we need to be out mid June at the latest. ...
