I was ready. I have been gearing myself up for several days, knowing that I had a monumental task before me- Catching Up on the Blog. I still don't even have all of May on here. Here's my little problemo. I can't find the camera cable. It is not in the camera bag, therefore I can not download my pics and that is a most important piece. Wait- I just remembered Brian's pics of Sadie's baptism picnic are on Sundry. I can at least do that!
As I said yesterday or the day before, it has been a little difficult to get into a groove. It has been very chilly and we are used to going a hundred miles an hour all of the time. Yesterday we went to the gym and then I took the kids to the indoor pool and even so we came home and felt off. Jane asked me if this was how I felt with the gray in Washington- yes. Sometimes it doesn't bother me, often it does. I have a hard time feeling energetic, motivated, etc... as my mom points out, most of the time I go when I don't have Mike with me and that makes a difference as well. I am a girl that needs sunshine.
Today was good. There were a few sunbreaks and then after Ellyn got home from school my friend Jen and I took the kids out to Sadie's old elementary school in the valley and soaked in the rays. At least we can drive to sunshine, a half hour away or so. The rest of the year is pretty great here, but I am not a fan of summer.
Sawyer and Ellyn have a cold. We are training Ellyn's new aide at school since Gretchen is going on maternity leave and will not be able to be Ellyn's aide this year. Unfortunately this means that we have been drugging up our girl and sending her to school hoping and praying that she feels okay. As long as she has the cold medicine she is a happy girl. Thankfully. Nothing seems to slow Sawyer down. Cold medicine and he's ready to go again. He did not like my sunglasses today (tells you how often I've worn them this summer). He kept telling me to take them off so that he could see me.
Well, enough babbling, time to make dinner. Dang! I just remembered the grill is out of gas. Blog Out
